Ancient Greek olive trees

About

An editorial homefor premium Greek olive oil.

A note from the editors

Greece has cultivated the olive for over four thousand years — yet most of the world tastes its oil bottled under foreign labels. Greek Olive Oils exists to put that inheritance back into the hands of the families who grow it.

01

Who we are

Greek Olive Oils is an independent publication and partner directory built around the extraordinary olive estates of Greece. We are not a marketplace, a single brand, or a broker — we are an editorial team that researches producers, tastes oils, reads lab reports, and writes about what we find.

02

Our mission

Greek extra virgin olive oil is among the most-studied and least-marketed agricultural products on Earth. Roughly 80% of all Greek olive oil reaches the world bottled under non-Greek labels. Our mission is to introduce buyers, chefs, and households directly to the families behind the harvest.

03

How we choose producers

Every producer featured in our collective is vetted on three dimensions: provenance (single estate, traceable to grove and grower), composition (extra virgin grade with current-harvest phenolic counts), and craft (cold extraction, low acidity, transparent labelling). We do not accept payment for editorial inclusion.

04

Editorial standards

All written content on this site is created in-house by our editorial team. Producer information is verified directly with each estate before publication and is reviewed at least annually. External sources — lab analyses, regulatory documents, third-party producer sites — are clearly labelled.

05

How we make money

This site is supported by display advertising and by future commercial relationships with our member producers. Advertising never influences our editorial selection.
